Dear Members,
To speed up the sign in at our Annual meeting on November 12, 2024, your Board respectfully asks that proxies be turned in to the Association Manager sugarmillmanager@tds.net or P.O. Box 6004 Saint Marys, Ga 31558 by November 4, 2024. This will allow the Board Secretary, Thomas Bean, to make sure the proxies are current homeowners of record who are in Covenant Compliance.

SAVE THE DATE, DECEMBER 15TH, SANTA WILL BE ARRIVING BY FIRETRUCK TO OUR PLAYGROUND TO VISIT WITH OUR CHILDREN AND HEAR THEIR CHRISTMAS WISHES!
SANTA WILL TOUR OUR NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE FIRETRUCK AND ARRIVE AT OUR PARK AT 1:00 PM;
CHILDREN WILL BE ABLE TO VISIT SANTA AND ENJOY A TREAT UNTIL 3:00 PM. A PHOTOGRAPHER WILL BE ON HAND TO TAKE PHOTOS OF YOUR CHILDREN WITH SANTA (Pets welcome!) WHICH WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU, COMPLIMENTS OF SANTA! (You are Welcome to take photos as well, if you like!)

Born February 19, 1944 in Hutchinson, KS, he was the son of the late Raymond C. Parks, Sr., and Helen Louise Parks. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Parks of St. Marys; son, Michael C. Parks and wife Marty; daughters, Mhairi Harrison, Elizabeth McCullock, Jackie Mason, and Amanda Witt; brothers, Larry Parks and James Parks; Godson, David McNeil, nephew, William McNeil and wife Wendy.
Ray was a career Navy man from 1962 to 1989, retiring as a CW-4. Upon his retirement he went to work for Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab that same year. Ray lived his life his way, and was a loving and caring man who loved to have a conversation with just about anyone. He was stubborn when it came to doctors. He loved the sea and to the sea he will return. He will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Allison Memorial Chapel in St. Marys at 11:00 am, with visitation to follow. Allison Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home of St. Marys is in charge of arrangements.

Subj: Clearance around Fire Hydrants
Date: April 10, 2017
There are many Fire Hydrants in Sugar Mill that we are not able to test and do basic maintenance due to the growth of vegetation around the hydrant. We are asking that any home owner with a fire hydrant in there yard follow the following code. Per the International Fire Code 2012 edition, section 507.5.4 (obstruction) and section 507.5.5 (Clear space around hydrant). The Fire Department shall have 3-foot clear space around the hydrant and a clear path to the street from the hydrant.

Pursuant to the By-Laws of Sugarmill Plantation Owners Association, Inc., each member is hereby notified the annual meeting of the Association will be held as noted above. In accordance with the By-Laws, the order of business shall be:

VI Appointment of inspectors of election

VIII Unfinished business
IV Election of Directors
X Adjournment
Registration will begin at 6:00 PM. The business meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. You are encouraged to attend the annual meeting. If you are not able to attend, you may vote by proxy, form is available on our website: www.sugarmillplantation.org. If you wish to appoint a proxy, please confirm that your appointee is willing to serve and expects to attend the meeting. You may return your proxy to Sugarmill Plantation Owner’s Association by mail, P.O. Box 6004, St. Marys, GA 31558; FAX: 1-866-884-6609; or e-mail: sugarmillmanager@tds.net. Proxies can be revoked at anytime and can be presented on the day of the annual meeting by person indicated on proxy. All others must be received by close of business, October 24th, 2016.
You should be aware that only those members in good standing are eligible to vote; that is dues are paid up to date and any notices of non-compliance concerning Covenants have been satisfied. No payments will be received at the meeting. Dues cannot be paid at the door.
